Hailey Cole

Personal Trainer and Class Instructor

Hailey Cole

Personal Trainer and Class Instructor

I grew up in Vancouver and I completed my BA at UBC with the intention of pursuing a teaching career in 2012. But I decided to take some “me” time. I started to train for a big open water swim, and the more I trained the happier I became, so I went back to school and became a PT, and there is nowhere I’d rather be!

Personal fitness philosophy

Becoming a mother has had a huge impact in my training mentality. My experience with my fitness goals prior to pregnancy, during, and now has ignited a deep appreciation for the fluidity of the human form. Our bodies are simply a reflection of our lifestyle, and I believe forming healthy habits is the key! After all, we want to continue our habits for the rest of our lives, so they need to be sustainable. Change is incredibly simple, when we make it simple, changes don't have to be drastic, but  should be enjoyable.

We want to see physical changes in ourselves, we want to accomplish things we couldn't do before, we want to set good examples for those we love. We want to be able to experience life, and not miss out on opportunities because our bodies won't allow us to pursue something. I strive to help you build these habits.

My first personal training job was at 19. After casually training for many years I got certified in 2013 to pursue my passion.

Sports and athletics have always been a big part of my life. As an athlete you're pushed beyond whatever you thought possible and learn many valuable life lessons. Sport teaches us that we are all connected. When you set physical goals and meet or exceed them, you feel empowered. My goal is to lead by example; embody what exercise is all about: health, fitness and enjoyment of life.

My heart has always been with natural healing. After I broke my back in 2009 I followed a very natural process to heal and learned my passion for healthy eating and fun exercise. Health and nutrition has been incorporated into every part of my life.

I have recently helped my brother lose over 60 pounds by supplying nutrition advice and exercise plans. My main goals are to help people in their battle of weight loss so they can live happy, confident, and fulfilled lives.

I grew up as a dancer and take huge pride in proper form and posture within all movement. I believe this is the foundation that provides one with the confidence to advance into quicker, fast paced movement pain free and with fluidity. I also have been studying nutrition for many years and know the ins and outs of meal planning, understanding ingredients, and how to make delicious healthy meal! In my spare time I love to be outside hiking on new adventures and being a yogi!

Being a very empathetic person I can understand all of the struggles people have with their overall well being. It is not just the physical that we will overcome, but learning to allow the mind to help us achieve things we never thought possible. I am very dedicated to helping other achieve their goals as I have learned that we all need a helping hand of encouragement, positivity, and understanding.

I would love to hear from you to assess your goals free of charge and start a new adventure with you.

As a mother, it's very important to me to lead by example for my daughter.

I do this putting my health and wellness ahead of the many other things I try to accomplish in one day as a busy stay at home mom. After working over ten years in the medical diagnostics field, I've seen many patients suffer diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and so many other issues that could have been prevented by leading an active lifestyle and making healthier choices at the grocery store.

What I love about my job is helping others to achieve the lifestyle needed to prevent disease, feel happy and healthy, have more energy, set an example for their families, and be the best version of themselves.

My passion for sport has largely influenced who I am and continues to guide my personal and professional life.  Being an Athletic Therapist and Strength and Conditioning Specialist allows me to share my knowledge about the resiliency of the human body with others.

Coast Mountain Athletic Therapy is a forum from which I aim to help active individuals overcome injuries, maintain physical wellness and return to their sport or activities.  My practice is individualized and guided by on-going communication and education.  I aim to enhance my client's understanding of their own capacity to heal and to physically excel. I combine manual treatments, including muscle energy technique, joint mobilizations and soft tissue release, therapeutic modalities and exercise rehabilitation to address injury and dysfunction. Movement and performance of the human body is the result of the musculoskeletal system working in harmony.  This is why I use a full-body approach to developing efficient movement patterns and a balance of strength and mobility.
